1970 Boss 302 Restoration

These photos show the tail light panel has been installed. There are also pictures of the pilot holes drilled for the spot welds to weld the quarter panel into the correct position. We make sure the everything is aligned properly with the door and the trunk lid before doing the final welding.

The pictures show the new floor pans being test fitted and screwed in for welding. We still need to patch in the correct ribbing into the front of the pan so everything looks factory.

As you can see from these pictures the floors have been fused in place. We use this technique as opposed to the often used overlapping technique in order to keep the use of bondo or filler to a minimum. If we were to overlap there would be a detectable seam in the metal. This makes it look obvious that there has been metal work done we is something that we try avoid. We also welded in new seat platforms because they were not any with the car when it arrived to our shop.
